Estheticians (with Liz)

"I love educating clients about their skin and the products they need to achieve vibrant, radiant complexions"

A background in photography, education & healthcare lead me to the world of esthetics. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at Dallas with a secondary teaching certification, a BA in Literary Studies and History. I worked for Kodak in customer service and in sales, and later in the health care industry. The skills I gained from my previous positions, particularly as a teacher, paved the way for what I do now - help people achieve the healthiest skin possible.

I believe that a great facial starts with a discussion of the client's goals in addition to a correct analysis of the skin. A thorough understanding of the skin and how it works is vital to get results. New clients answer questions about lifestyle, diet, stress, current home care as well as medications and allergies, so that an integrated plan can be made.

In addition to the professional treatments and machines available, as an esthetician, it is my job to understand products and ingredients, both otc and prescription, the risks and benefits, as well as how they address the needs of the client. Not only are ingredients important, but also the method in which they are delivered to the skin.

"it is my job to understand products and ingredients.. the risks and benefits, as well as how they address the needs of the client."

I love educating clients about their skin and the products they need to achieve vibrant, radiant complexions. When shopping for skin care items, it's really all about the ingredients. A brand can be important after you get to know it, and you trust the source. This can only be achieved with knowledge of ingredients as well as quality and efficacy. There is a lot to know, so it’s essential to find a professional you trust to help you find what is right for you.

My mission as a skin care professional is to create a plan for each client that is something they will be able to incorporate in their daily lives. Compliance is everything! How you feel about what you're doing is so important because it determines whether or not you will follow the plan consistently. Regardless of the skin care issue you are facing, you can have beautiful skin, if you are consistent. The women and men who make their skin a priority have beautiful, healthy-looking skin. Sun protection, effective products and regular facials are the key to looking and feeling your very best!

"I love to put together product and treatment routines for my clients that create healthy habits and even better results."

I grew up in Austin and attended St. Edward’s University where I graduated with a BA in Psychology, specializing in behavioral health. My obsession with what makes people feel good about themselves was what lead me to pursue my degree and over 10 years working in beauty and wellness.

I began with client care in the spa industry and fell in love with esthetics and all the benefits of great skin health. My approach to skincare is holistic and therapeutic with a focus on product ingredients. Effective use of product ingredients starts with a healthy skin barrier. Everything from circulation to having proper moisture significantly effects how our skin will absorb and use even the best ingredients.

I love to put together product and treatment routines for my clients that create healthy habits and even better results. I look forward to see you in the spa soon!

"I love educating clients about their skin and the products they need to achieve vibrant, radiant complexions"

I didn't have childhood dreams of becoming an esthetician. I didn't even know what an esthetician was until I stumbled upon it in my early twenties. My plan was to be a cosmetologist. When the administrator asked me what I was signing up for, cosmetologist or an esthetician, I replied, "What's an esthetician?"

After putting myself through school, and graduating in 2017, I got the opportunity to work for a very well-known esthetician who mainly works with young Hollywood clientele. I traveled, worked in the corporate office as the go-to skin expert for face time appointments, and soaked up that part of the industry. I learned so much about ingredients, skin types, skin conditions and hey, partying at the homes of pop stars and working in Bev Hills wasn't so bad either.

But, that wasn't it for me. Though I didn't grown up thinking about being an esthetician, I grew up knowing I wanted to make a difference. I wanted to change, or at least be part of the much-needed change in the beauty industry. Full inclusiveness! People with acne, vitilago, eczema, wrinkles, freckles (the list goes on). THESE ARE THE FACE OF BEAUTY! I don't buy into the message that you have to be younger, or appear younger to be considered beautiful. Or that you have poor hygiene if you have acne. Or that you need to erase your pores. My goodness, no wonder we're all having stress breakouts!

My goals are always to put the health and wellness of the skin first, and to educate you on how to keep your skin healthy. I grew up with acne, dermatitis, sensitivity and I'm starting to see signs of natural skin aging, so if anyone gets it, I do.

I look forward to taking care of you and your skin in the treatment room!
